60 Pairs Of Levi’s 501 Jeans Used By The Costume Designer For ‘Jobs’ Biopic

Levi Strauss & Co. also known as Levi’s has provided a “mountain of jeans” for the production of Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher.

Lisa Jensen received this piles of jeans that he showed in an interview to FancyDressCostumes. She estimated that a total of 60 pairs of jeans from Levi’s 501 jeans were considered to accomodate the varying body weights Ashton Kutcher had to achieve during the production of the film.

Other than that, New Balance has made the exact sneakers for Ashton Kutcher role that Jobs used to wear. The movie crew was also provided with an archivist who pitched in with research.

Jenen also had to work with Cassara Brothers Clothiers who used to dress the top company’s executives during the early days of Apple. Custom suits were designed for Kutcher and other actors in the cast including Matthew Modine who appeared as John Sculley and J.k Simmons who portrayed Arthur Rock.

According to reports, Ashton Kutcher also adopted Job’s fruit only diet that according to the actor nearly put him in the hospital.

“Jobs” biopic is scheduled to be released on August 16 this year. The film is the first of the two biopics on Apple’s legendary CEO Steve Jobs. The second film is scripted by Aaron Sorkin who is famous for writing the script of “The Social Network”
